The Egmont Overture, Op. 84, composed by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1809-10, occupies a firm and secure place among the stars of the most-dramatic music firmament. Originally conceived for orchestra, this edition proposes it in an arrangement for 8 cellos by Brazilian Maestro Raïff Dantas Barreto.
