BALDUR’S GATE III

METAGRID PRO PROFILE

This profile will allow you to control many aspect of the game from the touch surface of your iPad. I hope you will enjoy using it as much as I have enjoyed creating it.

As the game itself, this profile will be in Early Access until the game is released, and it will be constantly updated as the game progresses. I have done my best to make it work, but some things just need to be fixed by other people before I can build upon them. The idea for programming this came from the fact that gaming on a Mac is often harder than needed, that F-keys are always mapped otherwise, and one would need to change a setting in System Preferences every time one wants to game. This will help bypass many of these issues.

Being an Early Access, it is discounted 50% until BG3 will be released. Use code "early-access" at checkout to enjoy it.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- a Windows PC or a Mac able to run the Metaserver app found here (https://metasystem.io)

- an iPad able to run the MetaGrid Pro app (check the App Store at the moment of download). This grid should work even with the free version of the app but no edit at all will be possible. While the 30 EUR price for the app is a steep one, I suggest you take the plunge and enjoy the huge power and flexibility this app offers.

- a free Dropbox account (possible to do without, just harder and unwieldy); as of Metagrid Pro 1.04, it should be once more possible to import directly via iPadOS share screen.

VERSION HISTORY

v 0.2 (April 2022)

Updated files to work with Metagrid Pro 1.04.

v. 0.1 (March 2022)

Included in the ZIP is a Numbers / Excel spreadsheet with my comments and considerations on what is working, what is not, and why. Many things are inexplicably not working because of reasons that I am still investigating with MetaGrid developers and that I hope will be solved soon.

One big known issue happens through import, as many of the Windows macro get messed up. To temporarily work around this, select the ellipses button for that macro and tap on “Copy macro Mac > Win”. Sadly, the issue will present itself again at the next launch.

These macros were programmed on a Mac so, for some reason, they do not get messed up during import or at next launch.Of course I hope these issues will be fixed very soon by the MetaGrid team. (update April 2022: with Metagrid Pro 1.04 or later, this should be fixed)

Any and every update will be free of charge! Lifetime updates guaranteed!
